A violent crash involving a speeding vehicle and a passenger bus injured at least 14 people in Long Beach Thursday afternoon.
The victims' injuries range from minor to critical, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
The collision happened between South Street and California Avenue at about 3:15 p.m. Security camera footage from the scene shows what appears to be a Dodge Charger blast through a stop sign before it slammed into the side of the bus. The impact threw the car in front of the bus as it drove into a nearby restaurant.
The bus lodged the Charger into the side of the building after it completely destroyed the storefront.
Authorities shut down South Street between Myrtle and Lewis Avenues as they tend to the injured and investigate the crash.
